Façades

FOR A DISTINCTIVE DESIGN AND ATMOSPHERE

"Show me where you live and I will tell you who you are."

The final layer of a building protects the basic construction from environmental influences but represents as well an important aesthetic element of design. After all, it creates the first impression. More and more architects and investors give preference to wood because of its soul, its ability to provide a special ambiance and create the feeling of comfort.

As the oldest building material, wood has been revived. The reasons for that are numerous, such as good insulating characteristics, durability, short construction period, appearance, natural variety and excellent environmental characteristics. With wood, modern architecture goes beyond the rustic mountain cabins in the Alps. Various kinds of wood, manners of positioning and different profiles as well as colours provide innumerable possibilities for increasing the value of a building.

Wooden façades can be placed on any outer wall. Whether the building is new or renovated, wooden façades provide complete protection of interiors from cold. Consequently, the temperature indoors rises and the heating costs decrease. In addition, wooden façades are not heavy therefore the transport and assembling are much easier. Wood has another great advantage for it is easily combined with stone, glass or metal.

It is possible to attach a wooden façade to any outer wall whether the house in question is made of wood, concrete or brick. Wooden façades are not only used for houses but for larger buildings as well.
